We are the South Bay’s original independently-owned Benjamin Moore Dealer with four convenient locations in the South Bay Area, serving San Jose, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell, Cupertino, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Atherton, Menlo Park, South San Jose, Morgan Hill, and Gilroy. 
As a local small business that has been established for more than 35 years, nothing means more to us than our community. At all 4 of our stores, we offer contactless curbside pickup service, phone will call and online orders. We also offer free delivery within our service area for orders above 15 gallons. 
Our expert staff can advise you on application and product questions in English or Spanish.

We offer color and stain matching, design consultations by appointment, and we carry superior quality products including; premium Benjamin Moore® paints and stains, Sansin Stains, General Finishes Stains and Paints, and Mohawk wood finishing products. Our History

Bob Hathaway founded South Bay Paints in San Jose in 1990 as a family-owned Benjamin Moore Dealer. He established South Bay Paints in the local community and earned a reputation for excellent customer service, color consulting, and color matching.

In 2017, South Bay Paints expanded by buying Daycor Ave Paints in Campbell. The buyout allowed South Bay Paints to better serve its growing customer base in the Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Campbell areas.

In 2019, South Bay Paints opened a third store in South San Jose on Santa Teresa Blvd. The new store is the only Benjamin Moore Dealer dedicated to South San Jose, Morgan Hill and Gilroy. South Bay Paints remains family owned, and we take pride in meeting both contractor and home owner needs.

In 2024, we had a goal to grow our service area to include the City of Cupertino. Throughout 2024 we set our sights on finding a new location in Cupertino, and by year's end, we found an exceptional location for a new South Bay Paints store. It's located right on S De Anza Boulevard, between Highway 280 and Highway 85. The goal of this location was to serve our customers in the Cupertino, and nearby Peninsula towns.
